Privacy notice

Who handles your information
Canary Advertising S.L, Calle Sabino Berthelot, 27, 1A, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, 38003, Spain, is responsible for personal information used to operate PawOptima. Contact contact@pawoptima.com for privacy questions.
Information and purposes
We use your email, account identifier, password authentication information, payment references and purchase/refund status to deliver the course, verify access and provide support. Stripe processes payment details; the course application does not receive or store your full card number. Refund requests contain the details you submit and a timestamp.
These uses are necessary to perform our contract with you. We retain required transaction records for accounting and other legal obligations. Limited security records, including a hashed network address used for rate limiting, help prevent abuse under our legitimate interest in operating a secure service. Hosting and service providers may also process technical request information such as IP addresses.
Your workbook and browser storage
Lesson progress, quiz answers and workbook notes remain in your browser's local storage. The course does not send them to our database. Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see these notes. Export anything you want to retain before clearing browser storage. Essential session cookies keep you signed in; a separate optional choice controls advertising tracking.
Optional site and advertising measurement
With optional tracking consent, we record a random visit identifier, landing page, traffic source category or campaign source, visit time and the associated checkout. A visit lasts 30 minutes. We use these records for our private conversion dashboard and retain them for up to 90 days; rejecting optional tracking removes linked visit records. We do not store full referring URLs in this dashboard. Payment and refund records remain necessary to administer purchases regardless of tracking consent.
Only if you accept optional tracking, we use Meta Pixel on the sales and course-information pages to measure page views, course views and checkout starts. After a confirmed payment, our server can send a Purchase event to Meta through its Conversions API. We share the purchase amount and currency, course identifier, an event identifier, browser and ad-click identifiers when available, IP address, browser user agent, and a SHA-256 hash of the purchase email. Hashing supports matching with Meta accounts; it does not make the information anonymous. We do not share course notes, passwords, card details or individual lesson activity.
This processing is based on your consent and helps attribute purchases and improve Facebook and Instagram advertising. Meta may use this information for ad measurement and personalisation under its privacy policy. You can reject optional tracking without losing access, or withdraw using Privacy choices on any page. We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals as rejection. Withdrawal stops future reporting from this browser and cancels its pending purchase attribution; it cannot retract information already sent to Meta. Contact us for help with requests concerning previously shared information or other devices.
Our essential privacy-choice cookie lasts 180 days. Optional Meta cookies, including _fbp and _fbc when set, generally last up to 90 days, subject to browser limits and Meta updates. Pending checkout attribution expires after 30 days and is removed during subsequent cleanup; identifying browser details are cleared after successful purchase reporting or withdrawal. A minimal delivery marker prevents repeat reporting. Expired privacy-choice and attribution records are deleted during subsequent preference updates. Meta applies its own retention rules to data it receives.
Service providers
We use Stripe Managed Payments and Link for payments, tax handling and transaction support, Supabase for account authentication, Name.com email for account and support messages, and OpenAI Sites with Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting and purchase records. External images may load from Unsplash. These services receive information needed for their functions and may process it outside your country. Applicable provider contracts and transfer safeguards govern international processing.
Retention
Account and entitlement records are kept while needed to provide access, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Transaction records are retained for applicable statutory accounting periods. Support and refund records are retained as needed to complete the request and handle related disputes. Ask us about deletion or a specific retention period; records that must legally be retained cannot be erased immediately.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing where applicable by contacting contact@pawoptima.com. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency at aepd.es or your relevant supervisory authority. Account messages are used for course delivery; a purchase does not subscribe you to marketing.

Do not send card details or passwords in support messages. We will update this notice when material changes affect how information is used.
